The North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System consists of two medical centers, three large multi-specialty outpatient clinics and eight small community-based primary care outpatient clinics. The Malcom Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville is a tertiary care facility, identified as the most complex VA health care system, that is also an active teaching hospital, with an extensive array of specialty services. It combines a full range of patient care services with state-of-the-art technology that is enhanced and supported through education and research. We have a strong and meaningful affiliation with the University of Florida College of Medicine and are connected both physically and functionally to the University. We train over 2,000 residents, interns, and students each year. Other affiliations are in place with Florida State University, Valdosta State University, Santa Fe Community College, and Lake City Community College.
